Keith Chapman was the founder of Horizon Business Group and managing director until June 2025. He earned the designation as Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI). Keith was a certified public accountant with 23 years experience in public accounting before entering the merger and acquisition field in 1998. He was the managing partner in a CPA firm for 15 years. He was well experienced in negotiation, creative financing alternatives, business transaction structures, taxation and accounting matters, business valuations, and financial analysis. Keith taught courses in business valuation and financing alternatives for middle market transactions for the International Business Brokers Association and the Texas Association of Business Brokers. He as also led seminars for members of the accounting profession, the American Institute of Banking, and various trade associations. He was also been qualified as an expert witness in litigation involving business valuations, broker issues, and securities licensing for business brokers.

Keith was a Life Member of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB) with the designation of Board Certified Broker, a Fellow of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) with the designation of Certified Business Intermediary, and the M&A Source with the designation of a Merger and Acquisition Master Intermediary. He was also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPA’s. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting.

Keith was a Past President of the Texas Association of Business Brokers and has served on various committees of the International Business Brokers Association. Keith has also served as president of the chamber of commerce, president of the Lions club, and has served on the board of the East Texas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a silver beaver recipient and previously named as Panola County Citizen of the Year.
